If the Obama team is this hostile to Israel before the elections, how bad will things get after Tuesday? Will the President turn against Israel & appease Iran? Analysis.

Obama v. Netanyahu and Israel -- what happens after the mid-term elections? Obama v. Netanyahu and Israel — what happens after the mid-term elections?

Just days before the mid-term elections, with Democrats poised to suffer serious losses, tensions between the Obama White House and the Netanyahu government remain sky high.

senior Obama administration official openly used vulgarity with a reporter to mock and disparage the Israeli leader.

And the administration appears set to cave in to Iranian demands over its nuclear program in talks to conclude at the end of November.

If the President and his team feel this comfortable being this hostile to an Israeli leader before an election, imagine how hostile the President could be when he’s a lame duck and not facing the voters again ever.

As I noted yesterday, a train wreck in U.S.-Israel relations is now in motion.

“Very publicly, very nastily, and very worryingly, we are witnessing the collapse of an alliance,”wrote a leading Israeli news editor.

Beautiful feet.

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

No matter how ugly your feet may look to you, God says that they are beautiful if you preach the gospel of peace (see Isa. 52:7; Rom. 10:15). Never be discouraged. You may have the frown of a sinful world, but you have the smile of God every time you faithfully reach out to the lost.

Song of Solomon 7:1 How beautiful are your feet in sandals, How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O princes daughter! The curves of your thighs are like jewels, The work of the hands of a skillful workman.

Train wreck in U.S.-Israel relations: Senior Obama official calls Netanyahu vulgar name, signalling “red hot” hostility between two governments. Here’s the latest.

Train wreck in motion? Train wreck in motion?

(Central Israel) — The United States of America is going to turn against the State of Israel.

I wish it weren’t true, but Bible prophecy indicates that “all the nations of the earth” will turn hostile towards Israel, her capital of Jerusalem, and the Jewish people in the “last days,” and that as a result God will judge “all the nations.”

Examples:

  • “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.” (Zechariah 12:2-3)
  • “For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather…

Whose interpretation is this?

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

“The next time someone says, ‘That’s just your interpretation,’ have the person read the verse and ask him how he might interpret it differently. Ask him to give reasons why he would choose one interpretation over another. Ask him if his interpretation matches what the author intended to say. The question is not, ‘Whose interpretation is this?’ but ‘Is this interpretation correct?’” Todd Friel

2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Preparing the way.

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

We are not to forget the Law once we have trusted the Savior. Like John the Baptist, its function is to prepare the way of the Lord (see Gal. 3:24). Does the student, after he graduates, forget the knowledge given by his tutor? That knowledge may now be used to instruct lost sinners on why they, too, need the Savior (see Gal. 3:24).

May we go “in the spirit and power of Elijah” as we speak of the “coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.” Make sure you precede the message of grace with the just and holy Law. In doing so, you will make grace amazing.

Malachi 4:4 Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments.5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful…

Real revival.

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

“Alas, alas, God’s ‘way of salvation’ is almost entirely unknown today, the nature of Christ’s salvation is almost universally misunderstood, and the terms of His salvation misrepresented on every hand. The ‘Gospel’ which is now being proclaimed is, in nine cases out of every ten, but a perversion of the Truth, and tens of thousands, assured they are bound for heaven, are now hastening to hell as fast as time can take them…

“Unless God is pleased to grant a real revival, it will not be long ere ‘the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people’ (Isa. 60:2), for the light of the true Gospel is rapidly disappearing…Those preachers who tell sinners that they may be saved without forsaking their idols, without repenting, without surrendering to the Lordship of Christ, are as erroneous and dangerous as others who insist that salvation is by works, and that heaven…

Jihadists target Egypt: At least 31 Egyptian soldiers dead, 28 wounded in latest attacks. Are more coming? Is Jordan next?

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

Pray for Egypt. Pray for Egypt.

All eyes have been riveted on the ISIS offensive in Syria and Iraq in recent months. But Radical Islamic jihadists are also intensifying their operations against other countries in the region. I’m particularly concerned that Jordan will be the focus of such attacks soon. But right now, Egypt is in the crosshairs.

Here is the latest. Please be praying for the people of Egypt — for calm and stability, as well as increased freedom and opportunity. Please pray also for the embattled Christians there.

“Two attacks on Egyptian military positions in the Sinai Peninsula on Friday killed at least 31 soldiers, according to security officials and the state news media,” the New York Times is reporting.

Excerpts:

  • The first attack killed at least 28 soldiers, making it the deadliest assault on the Egyptian military in many years and the biggest defeat in its 15-month battle against Sinai-based Islamist militants that…

The American gospel has evolved…

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

This is so like the god spoken of by popular preachers. They name the name of the Lord, but they do not know Him in truth or walk in righteousness.

“The American gospel has evolved into a gospel of addition without subtraction. It is the belief that we can add Christ to our lives, but not subtract sin. It is a change in belief without a change in behavior…Obedience is the proof.” Patrick Morley

Isaiah 48:1 Hear this, O house of Jacob, Hear this, O house of Jacob, Who are called by the name of Israel, And have come forth from the wellsprings of Judah; Who swear by the name of the Lord, And make mention of the God of Israel, But not in truth or in righteousness.

“Were there dinosaurs in the Ark?”

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

The history of God’s creation (told in Gen. 1—2) tells us that all the land-dwelling creatures were made on Day 6 of Creation Week—the same day God made Adam and Eve. Therefore, it is clear that dinosaurs (being land animals) were made with man.

Also, two of every kind (seven of some) of land animal boarded the Ark. Nothing indicates that any of the land animal kinds were already extinct before the Flood. Besides, the description of “behemoth” in chapter 40 of the Book of Job (Job lived after the Flood) only fits with something like a sauropod dinosaur. The ancestor of “behemoth” must have been on board the Ark.

Juveniles of even the largest land animals do not present a size problem, and, being young, they have their full breeding life ahead of them. Yet most dinosaurs were not very large at all—some were the size of a chicken…

If evolution was true…

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

If evolution was true, and humans and chimps did have a common ancestor, we would expect to find something that is half-monkey/half-man. These intermediate stages where one species supposedly evolves into another species are called “transitional forms.”

Darwin acknowledged that the absence of intermediates put his theory in doubt, but he attributed their lack to the scarcity of fossils at that time. However, nearly 150 years later, the situation hasn’t changed. After scientists have searched diligently for a century and a half for evidence, we now have over 100 million fossils catalogued in the world’s museums, with 250,000 different species. Adapted from How to Know God Exists (Bridge Logos).

Jeremiah 27:5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me.
