The more we sin, the more we provoke the tempestuous wrath of Almighty God. But wonder of wonders, the Man from Nazareth said, “Pick me up and throw me into the sea of God’s wrath.” “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13). The man Christ Jesus became sin for us, and in Him our sins are cast into the sea of God’s forgetfulness. It is in Him that we have peace with God. The storm of God’s anger is calm for all who trust in the Savior.
