Y-chromosome Adam.

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

“Researchers suggest that virtually all modern men—99% of them, says one scientist—are closely related genetically and share genes with one male ancestor, dubbed ‘Y-chromosome Adam.’ We are finding that humans have very, very shallow genetic roots which go back very recently to one ancestor…That indicates that there was an origin in a specific location on the globe, and then it spread out from there.” U.S. News & World Report, December 4, 1995.

“In new genetic studies of modern human origins, scientists think they have found strong evidence that there was an ancestral ‘Adam’ about 188,000 years ago to go with the previously discovered ‘Eve.’ The sci- entists used certain male-specific segments of the Y chromosome, the chromosome passed from father to son, to trace the common ancestor of every man now on earth to that period.

“Earlier analysis of the DNA of the mitochondria…indicated that all humans have as a…

Greatest commandment and greatest sin.

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

Since the greatest Commandment is to love God with all of our heart (see Matt. 22:36,37), it is reasonable to say that the greatest sin is a failure to do so. The Bible tells us that no one seeks after God (see Rom. 3:11), so all of humanity is guilty of this sin of omission. Occasionally individuals will deliberately lie as you take them through the Ten Commandments, by claiming that they have never lied, stolen, blasphemed, or looked with lust. When that happens, ask if they have kept the first of the Ten Commandments. They will almost certainly say that they have.

To help them see their sin, you can explain it this way: “The Word of God says no one has kept that Commandment, so one of you is lying—and it is impossible for God to lie. So you have just lied to me and have broken not…

The invasion of the church.

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

“The invasion of the Church by the world is a menace to the extension of Christ’s Kingdom. In all ages conformity to the world by Christians has resulted in lack of spiritual life and a consequent lack of spiritual vision and enterprise. A secularized or self-centered Church can never evangelize the world.” John R. Mott

Numbers 25:1 Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab. 2 They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods.

Video of my message to Liberty University: “Facing the Fire: Standing For Christ In An Age of Evil.” When it comes to the Holocaust, we say “Never again.” Yet America has aborted 55 million babies. Is darkness not falling? Is judgment not coming? What do we think will happen?

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

Rosenberg-LibertyOn Friday, March 21st, I had the honor of addressing more than 10,000 students at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a message titled , “Facing The Fire: Standing For Christ In An Age of Evil.”

(To watch the 29 minute message, please click here.)

Opening with Daniel chapter three, I shared the biblical story of three Jewish men — Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego — who were thrown in a fiery furnace by an evil tyrant because they refused to bow down a worship a false god.

Sharing some lessons from the Holocaust, I shared several true stories of the real heroes — Jewish and Christian — who inspired the novel, The Auschwitz Escape

Then, noting that “darkness is falling” in Iran, North Korea, China, Russia and around the world, I also urged these students to love God and love their neighbors and stand boldly and courageously for Jesus Christ and…

With rumors of Israeli strike on Iran in 2014 rising, Santorum & Rosenberg write oped for CNN: Could there be a “Second Holocaust”? Lessons from Nazi Germany & modern Iran.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

CNN-logo ( Netanya, Israel) — Greetings from Israel. I’m here doing media interviews for The Auschwitz Escape, having various meetings, and trying to get a better sense of how Israeli citizens and leaders are viewing the crisis in Ukraine and the rising Iranian nuclear threat.

Rumors are swirling in the media here about a possible Israeli preemptive strike on Iran this year. Israeli officials at the highest level — including the Defense Minister — are reportedly coming to the reluctant belief that they cannot count on President Obama to take decisive action to neutralize the Iranian threat before it is too late.

Here are several recent headlines worth noting:

Revival of prayer.

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

Robert Speer said, “The evangelization of the world depends first of all upon a revival of prayer. Deeper than the need for workers; deeper far, than the need for money; deep down at the bottom of our spiritual lives is the need for the forgotten secret of prevailing, worldwide prayer. Missions have progressed slowly abroad because piety and prayer have been slow at home.”

Robert Speer is right; prayer is evidence of our utter dependence on God. Without Him we can do noth- ing. However, never forget that Jesus said there was a lack of laborers in His time, and there is a lack of la- borers in our time (see Matt. 9:37). It is easier to pray for this world than to preach the gospel to them. So make sure that you don’t substitute the sacrifice of prayer for the obedience of evangelism; to do so is to play…

68% of Americans fear a “nuclear holocaust” here in U.S. if Iran is permitted to build nuclear weapons, exclusive poll finds.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

MEME-nuclearholocaust-America ( Netanya, Israel) — Americans do not only fear that a nuclear-armed Iran would try to bring about a “Second Holocaust” by annihilating all six million Jews in the State of Israel.

They also fear Iranian leaders would try to bring about a “nuclear holocaust” inside the United States of America.

During an interview on Fox News on Sunday with anchor Shannon Bream, I  shared more of the results of the new polling Tyndale House Publishers and I conducted through McLaughlin & Associates, a nationally-respected polling firm.

Gearing up for the release of The Auschwitz Escape, and trying to understand how Americans’ fears of a “Second Holocaust” affects their views of current geopolitical issues, we asked 1,000 likely U.S. voters the following question: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: ‘If the U.S. and our allies do not take decisive action, and the Iranian regime is permitted to build nuclear weapons…

Another Bible Contradiction?

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

Skeptics argue that, because Jesus told His disciples not to go to certain groups of people, this proves He didn’t love Gentiles or Samaritans—which contradicts the command to “love your neighbor” (Matt. 22:39).

However, the plan of God was to preach the gospel to the Jews first before taking it to the Gentiles. This wasn’t because of a lack of love and concern for them, but because the Jews already had the Law which prepared them for the message of grace.

Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying:“Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.

Exclusive poll: 59% of Americans support “decisive” US strike on Iran to prevent “Second Holocaust,” if diplomacy & sanctions fail.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

MEME-AmericaStrikeIran ( Netanya, Israel) — An exclusive new poll reveals Americans not only fear a “Second Holocaust” if Iran acquires nuclear weapons, but also strongly support the White House ordering “decisive” military action to neutralize the Iranian nuclear threat, if diplomacy and sanctions fail.
